Fighting for Us
It seems the path is steep ahead,
To win you back, though hope feels dead.
No reason lies to bridge the gap,
Yet still I stand, I won’t turn back.
You say you’ve changed, your love has too,
A different heart, a different you.
But in your eyes, the truth remains,
The man I love, despite the strain.
I see the spark, the fire’s not gone,
Though shadows claim it won’t burn long.
And so, I’ll fight for what we were,
For love that’s real, for what’s secure.
Though walls may rise and doubt may grow,
My heart will fight, I’ll let you know:
No change can steal the bond we made,
For love like ours won’t simply fade.
